[News] Sony Akan Pamerkan Teknologi Chip Yang Siap Ngebut Hingga 63Gbps

Raksasa elektronik asal Jepang, Sony, bekerja sama dengan tim riset dari Tokyo Institute of Technology telah berhasil mengembangkan sebuah chip RF dan baseband yang memiliki kemampuan transfer hingga mencapai 6,3GB perdetiknya ! Chip yang didesain khusus untuk perangkat mobile ini nantinya akan bisa bekerja di gelombang 60GHz milimeter dan rencananya akan dipamerkan di acara International Solid State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) di San Fransisco minggu ini.

Chip hasil temuan Sony dan Tokyo Institute of Technology ini tercatat telah memecahkan dua rekor sekaligus, yakni rekor kecepatan wireless dengan lebar gelombang yang hanya hitungan milimeter (setara transfer film Blu-ray 50GB penuh dalam satu menit), dan juga rekor penggunaan energi yang hemat, hanya 74mW dalam kecepatan maksimal.

Sony belum memberikan informasi mengenai penggunaan teknologi ini ke publik tetapi lebih cepat tentu lebih baik.

[News]Terungkap, Bocoran Aplikasi Microsoft Office untuk iPad

Aplikasi Office untuk iPad sepertinya telah terungkap dalam sebuah gambar. Dari gambar tersebut terlihat sebuah aplikasi yang bias membuat dokumen baru dan dikabarkan sedang dievaluasi oleh tim Apple untuk disetujui dalam waktu dekat.

Dengan aplikasi ini, dokumen Word, Excel dan PowerPoint bisa dibuka dan dibuat. Antarmuka dari aplikasi ini diberitakan mirip dengan aplikasi OneNote untuk iPad serta sedikit isyarat akan kemunculan Metro UI khas Microsoft.

Aplikasi Office untuk iOS ini diperkirakan merupakan pratayang bagi aplikasi yang sama untuk tablet Windows 8 nantinya. Dokumen akan bisa disimpan di media lokal atau di dalam awan internet dengan server Microsoft. Akan tetapi untuk saat ini belum ada indikasi apakah ada aplikasi Office lain yang akan didukung selain ketiga aplikasi utama tersebut.

Sayangnya, aplikasi ini sepertinya tidak akan tersedia di tablet Android. Microsoft terlihat tidak tertarik memasang aplikasi ini di platform buatan Google ini. Di tablet Android, untuk saat ini disediakan aplikasi Google Docs untuk keperluan tersebut.
